Optimize Roadway Management
Improve the flow of transit vehicles during special events with smart traffic-signal prioritization
New South Wales (NSW), Australia’s most populous state, was facing rising traffic congestion and struggled to reduce high-risk behavior at intersections and keep pace with evolving travel patterns. Working with Cisco and its partner Cohda, NSW’s transportation leaders implemented an AI reasoning engine and IoT edge computing solutions in combination with CCTV cameras to create safer, less-congested roads while reducing data management and cloud costs.
